The North Dakota Transmission Authority (NDTA) is soliciting applications for utility electric grid resilience projects. The special grant round will have the capacity to award $2,843,075. Of this amount, 85% is from the Department of Energy IIJA Grid Resilience Formula Grant and 15% is from North Dakota state legislative appropriations.
A public meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 16th from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the State Capitol building, in the 14th floor conference room. A virtual option will also be available. North Dakota Industrial Commission staff and grant administrative staff from the Energy and Environmental Research Center will join the NDTA Executive Director to share information on the grant application process and address questions from attendees.
The deadline to submit applications to the NDTA is June 1, 2025. Applications will be scored by a technical review team. Following the technical review and scoring, the North Dakota Industrial Commission, comprised of the Governor, Attorney General, and Agriculture Commissioner, will make award decisions at the next regularly scheduled Commission meeting.
